WRT WKU, given their location, they could be a "better fit" for the MAC

Now that assumes that either Buffalo leaves the MAC or the MAC finds another school to become the 14th member. Assuming Buffalo did leave the MAC for another conference, then the divisions could look like this:

East: 6 OH schools
West: 3 MI schools, Ball St, No. Illinois, and WKU

Middle Tenn State is a little more trouble because of its location and it has fewer options. Sun Belt or rejoining the Ohio Valley as a DI-FCS may be its only options. Even the Ohio Valley is going through a "transitional period" right because it had several member "suddenly" decide to leave the conference for various reasons. There is even rumblings that the OVC may not even exist in 5-10 years from now.
